Another early morning and a long drive back to Silver Spring to visit the General Conference building. Arrived safely and was given a tour of the building and the Ellen G. White Estate. Both were very interesting, so I recommend doing this if you are in town. They also have a cafeteria similar to the one at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, so it was nice to eat some healthy, Adventist-style, food.

A replica of the 7kg Bible Ellen White held outstretched in her hand while in vision (was way too heavy to hold one-handed!) |

I then visited the Potomac Adventist Book Center, one of the largest in the country. It had a wide variety of giftware and an extra-wide variety of food items (some very natural, such as all kind of seeds to sprout, and then the very processed fake-meat types as well - many aisles, fridges and freezers of them) along with the usual books, DVDs, etc. I found a few of the books we supply to Pacific Press, such as
Simple, Tasty, Good.

Tofurkey - hehe |
Next stop was to the hotel by the Washington DC airport, about 40 mins drive. Had a short nap, did some washing, dropped the hire car back, dinner at Burger King, then back to the work emails.
